Ritual Committee

The Ritual Committee, working with the Rabbi, plans and implements all religious services conducted at the synagogue.

The Committee is responsible for purchasing and maintaining all ritual objects used in the services such as Sefer Torahs and appurtenances, Ark, Bima Covers, Sukkah, etc.

The Committee establishes the requirements for and approves the hiring of all professional employees who lead or direct services at CKI.

The Committee usually meets one evening a month. Please speak with the chair(s) of the committee if you are interested in joining.

CKI's Kashrut Policy reflects a compromise that allows most of our members to participate in community meals, and documents the specific practices that we, as a community, have adopted over time. If you have any questions about the policy, please speak to the Rabbi or a member of the Ritual Committee.
