Wylen<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2009 &#8211; present: Cantor Edward Roffman<\/strong><em> <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2007 &#8211; 2018: Rabbi Jack Kramer<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2006 &#8211; 2007: Rabbi Steven Kirschner<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1997 &#8211; 2006: Rabbi William Kraus<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Late 1990&#8217;s<\/strong>:  the exterior front of the building was renovated<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1994: Rabbi Sheri Berger<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1987: <\/strong>The new chapel was dedicated the &#8220;Chapel of the Survivors&#8221; and various items were consecrated including <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ckibbnj.org\/index.php\/chapel-of-the-survivors-stained-glass\/\">the stained glass windows<\/a>, the Aron Kodesh, the Ner Tamid, the Shulchan, and Menorahs. Plaques marking &#8220;Nettie&#8217;s Niche&#8221; and bima seats were dedicated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1981 &#8211; 1983: <\/strong>A front addition to the building was built with a chapel, youth lounge, a new rabbi&#8217;s office, and an administrator&#8217;s office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1976 &#8211; 1993:<\/strong> <strong>Rabbi Aaron Decter<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1967 &#8211; 1976:<\/strong> <strong>Rabbi David P. Prince<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1967 <\/strong>&#8211; CKI became affiliated with the United Synagogue of America (later called the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism). The congregation also purchased a home in Bound Brook to house the Rabbi. A Judaica library was established in the Rabbi&#8217;s study in the synagogue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1960 <\/strong>&#8211; discussion began on changing CKI&#8217;s affiliation from Orthodox to Conservative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1955 &#8211; 1966: Rabbi H. Hillel Horowitz  <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1955: <\/strong>The synagogue building was dedicated<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1954<\/strong>: Construction of a new building was begun, behind the existing house. Kumin<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1950: Rabbi Naphtali Rubinger<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1947: Rabbi Hillel Hochberg<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1943 &#8211; 1945: Rabbi M. Benjamin Sillman<\/strong> <em>(CKI&#8217;s first full-time Rabbi)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1939<\/strong>: CKI&#8217;s first Bas Mitzvah is held, jointly for Paula Koenigsberg and Flora Greenberg<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1932: <\/strong>Martin Kissel secured the deed to the cemetery plot<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1930-31:<\/strong> Rabbi Telson led services<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1925: <\/strong>the Ladies Social Circle raises $3500 for a deposit on the property at 229 Mountain Avenue.  In February, Mr. Ratner of New Brunswick led the first service in the house already on the property.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1923 &#8211; 1924:<\/strong> services were held at the Bound Brook Congregational Church.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1921 &#8211; 1922: <\/strong>&nbsp;services were held in Bound Brook&#8217;s Ivy Hook &amp; Ladder building<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>1921<\/strong>: The congregation names itself &#8220;The Jacob H. Schiff Congregation&#8221; &nbsp;in honor of a prominent Jewish philanthropist who had recently died.  The Jacob H.
